The team at Holmes Chapel-based HR Download are showing their support for a cause they feel passionate about by providing HR consultancy services for perinatal mental health charity, Smile Group.
HR Download’s CEO and Founder Meg Fenney and HR Advisor Victoria Markham-Bean met Smile’s Co-founder Ruth Williams through BNI business network and were keen to develop a partnership. Victoria had personally used Smile Group’s services a few years previously as a new mum.
Smile Group celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and offers peer support groups, 1-1 support and talk therapy across its sites in Macclesfield, Congleton, Sandbach and Nantwich. The charity was born out of lived experience and plugs a gap in community support for families affected by pre and postnatal anxiety and depression.
HR Download was founded in 2019 by CEO Meg Fenney, who has more than 19 years of experience in HR. She is a fun-loving mum and wife and gains her work energy from helping leaders do what they didn’t realise they were capable of doing.
The company is supporting Smile Group by creating a comprehensive handbook, contracts and policies for their growing team of employees and volunteers.
Commenting on this, Victoria Markham-Bean from HR Download, said: “We want to champion a cause for positive change and our team is proud to be part of an organisation that cares about giving back. Community is key to our business – we operate within a network of local businesses and charities to support each other.”
Ruth Williams, Co-founder and Operations Director at Smile added: “As a charity, it’s vital we are embedded in our local communities. We’re thrilled to have the support of the experienced team at HR Download and to have developed a relationship based on an understanding of the work we do to support local families.”
